There Is and There Are

There Is e There Are são o verbo Haver.
   -There Is é usado em frases no singular.
   -There Are é usado em frases no plural.
Exemplos:
*There is backpack on the table.
*There are some backpacks on the table.
Forma Negativa → usamos Not.
   -Usamos o not depois do verbo da frase.
Exemlpo:
*There are not backpacks on the table.
         ↓
      verbo
                    OU
*There aren't backpacks on the table.

Linking Words

First, second, then, after that, and, but, finalilly,...

Observe estas frases:
*First, melt the butter in a saucepan.
*Second, add the apple.
*After that, mix the cornstarch.
*Then, add the milk.
*Finally, add the chicken and the mushrooms.
    As palavras destacadas são chamadas linking words. Elas nos ajudam a relacionar as ideias e a ligar frases e paragrafos, especialmente quando escrevemos. Além delas, temos algumas outras. Veja:

Prepositions: In Front Of, Next To, Between, Behind, In The Middle

In Front Of- Use In front of para indicar "na frente de alguma coisa".
                         
Next To- Use Next to para indicar "ao lado de alguma coisa".
                                      
Between- Use Between para indicar "entre alguma coisa".

                         

Behind- Use Behind para indicar "atrás de alguma coisa".

                                 

In The Middle- Use In the middle para indicar "no meio de alguma coisa".


                                   

Object Pronouns and Subject Pronouns

    Him, you e her são object pronouns, ou pronomes pessoais do caso obliquo. Esses pronomes são usados quado queremos nos referir a pessoas que nao fazem o papel de sujeito nas frases, mas recebem a ação deste. Você ja conhece o sujeito de uma frase. São os subject pronoun, temos um object pronoun correspondente. Veja:

Preposições são palavras usadas com nomes para mostrar sua relação com outras palavras da sentença. A seguir, apresentamos as principais preposições em inglês e seu uso:
In- Use in para indicar "dentro de alguma coisa", exemplo:
*In the box
*In the fridge
*In a shop
*In a garden
*In France
On- Use on para indicar contato, exemplo:
*On a shelf
*On a plate
*On the grass
Under- Use under para indicar "debaixo de alguma coisa", exemplo:
*I found it under your travel book about Brazil
*The e-ticket is under the book
Over- Use over para indicar "por cima de alguma coisa", exemplo:
*The plane is flying over the city
*Check over the skis, on the shelf
